Aegix integrates new technology and solutions to provide vital solutions and training to make schools and communities safer and more secure.
SAN DIEGO, October 14, 2023 – Aegix, provider of industry-leading safety resources, technology and training has recently made several updates to Aegix AIM and forged powerful new partnerships to expand the scope and value of its Comprehensive Incident Response (CIR) Framework.
ZeroEyes Integration
Aegix partnered with ZeroEyes to integrate its proactive, human-verified AI gun detection software solution into Aegix AIM. ZeroEyes works with existing digital security cameras and helps to mitigate mass shootings and gun-related violence by reducing response times, providing actionable intelligence with images and delivering clarity among chaos – ultimately saving lives. ZeroEyes’ patented solution has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a promising anti-terrorism technology and is the first video analytics technology to receive SAFETY Act DT&E Designation. ZeroEyes transforms everyday digital security cameras into proactive defense against active shooters, detecting guns the instant they are brandished so that schools and first responders are alerted before the first shot is fired.
In addition to this partnership, the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) granted Aegix a $3 million award to distribute ZeroEyes’ AI gun detection and intelligent situational awareness platform to Utah schools.
OmniTeq
Aegix forged a strategic partnership with OmniTeq to enable complete operational awareness for any building, property, campus, site, grounds or facility. OmniTeq develops customized Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for commercial and government applications. By combining OmniTeq’s artificial intelligence, machine learning and IoT technology with Aegix comprehensive incident response (CIR) system, responders and safety personnel can better predict, prepare for and address potential risks and emergencies in real-time, preventing costly issues from escalating. Various OmniTeq AI-enhanced sensors, including power readings, water flow/leaks, temperature fluctuations, fires, radiation levels and much more can be integrated with Aegix AIM to provide instant automated alerts in the interactive map.
The “I Love U Guys” Foundation
Aegix also recently became a Mission Partner of The “I Love U Guys” Foundation. The goal of this strategic partnership is to restore and protect the joy of youth through educational programs and positive actions in collaboration with families, schools, communities, organizations and government entities. As a Mission Partner, AEGIX will host a training event for The “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s programs for crisis response and post-crisis reunification and conduct joint webinars on the topic of school safety.
The flexible and easy-to-learn Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and Standard Reunification Method (SRM) are based on research, best practices and the real-world experience of school administrators, psychologists, public space safety experts, families, and first responders.
